THE FIFTH MOSCOW BIENNALE OF CONTEMPORARY ART

The Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art was established in 2003 as part of a federal program entitled “Culture of Russia. 2001-2006,” one of the most important cultural events organized under the aegis of the Russian government.

Moscow Biennale Public Programme is an accompanying programme of panel discussions, artist talks and workshops, meant to examine the subjects of the Biennale main project. The aim of the programme is to enhance the understanding of contemporary art and to engage the audience with artistic practices through direct contact with participating artists and the curator of the biennale, as well as with local and international art critics and theorists. All events and free and opened to a broad audience.
