Opera and Ballet Maly Theater "Galina Vishnevskaya" and Children and Youth Opera and Ballet Studio

In the Eastern Administrative District of Moscow there is the unique creative team of like-minded people united by the idea of ​​cultural development and artistic education of the younger generation.

 This group is the Opera and Ballet Maly Theater and it  rightfully named after the outstanding singer Galina Vishnevskaya. It is headed by the director of the College of music and theater art # 61 of Moscow, theater's artistic director, Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation, laureate of the President of Russia, laureate of the mayor of Moscow Elena Tratsevskaya.

             

The Theatre’s activity (age of actors - from 7 to 18 years) received awards at various competitions and festivals, such as: "Young Talents of Moscow", a festival of children's musical theater named after N.Sats, "Silver Voice", "Snowdrop", "Crystal droplet", etc. For the high artistic level of performance theater in 2000 awarded by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation the title "The best children's collective".

Study of rare old operas and work at the perfomances based on the masterpieces of world music scene are two repertory directions  of the theater’s activity. All performances are performed with orchestra and in the original language.

The theater has been actively performing not only in Russia but also abroad. Performances of young actors with the same success took place in several cities of Russia (Volgograd, Klin, Saransk, Khanty-Mansiysk, etc.), in Ukraine and Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Baltic countries, as well as in France and Italy, Spain and Germany, Slovenia and Montenegro, Finland, etc.
