First Republican Integrative Festival Of Children and Youth Creativity

First Republican Integrative Festival Of Children and Youth CreativityWithin the scopes of program in 2013 under the name " Gyumri- cultural capital of the CIS in 2013 " held by the Ministry of Culture , from October 25-31 in Gyumri hosted the first national festival integrative youth creativity.

The main aim of the Festival is the discovering of creative potential of children with disabilities as well as children from socially disadvantaged families or deprived of parental care , their social adaptation and more complete in the modern world .

 

 

Conceptual feature of Festival is to combine into a single creative program all children of different social groups, which corresponds to the problem posed by Article 29 of the International Convention on the Rights of the Child , adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1989.

 

The main tasks of the Festival:

 

• to draw public attention to the constructive and creative activities for children with disabilities as well as children from socially disadvantaged families or deprived of parental care , as a means of expression and their implementation;

 

• promote the development of creative abilities of children with disabilities as well as children from socially disadvantaged families or deprived of parental care , use their creative and intellectual potential in the cultural sector ;

 

• identifying young talent , support gifted children and youth;

 

One of the expected results of the project - a gradual change in society's attitude towards people with disabilities as equal participants in the cultural process .

The festival was held in seven categories ( music - performing arts, dance art , fine art, decorative arts , photography, theater and television project ) .

The project involved 427 children from 22 institutions.

 

Within the scopes of the festival, with the participation of 70 experts was also held scientific - practical conference on the implementation of a unified creative programs children from different social groups , as well as prospects for the development of goals and objectives .

 

          Emphasized participation in the project of the state non-profit organization "Special children's creative center ." The center was founded in 1991 as the Ministry of Culture organization engaged aesthetic education of children with disabilities as well as children from socially disadvantaged families or deprived of parental care.

          Currently, the center trained 614 students for free . The Center has the following clubs: decorative art, making pottery, embroidery, dressmaking, weaving carpets, choir, art of dance, theater, painting, production of wooden products, folk instruments.

Center operates in 12 orphanages and special boarding schools in the capital of the regions of Armenia. Pupils of the Centre take the successful participation in various international and national youth exhibitions, events, festivals, concerts in Armenia and abroad.
