The 11th High Fest performing arts festival will take place October 1 to 12, 2013 in Yerevan. In the framework of the festival 25 theater groups from 18 countries (Great Britain, Argentina, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Iran, Russia and others) will perform. Among the participants will be Armenian theater groups from Yerevan, Gyumri and Yeghegnadzor. Theater «1927» from Edinburgh will inaugurate the festival.

This year the High Fest festival has changed its audience policy. Festival organizers decided to make free admission to all plays; it will allow more viewers to see the plays. On the opening day invitation cards will be distributed, but admission will be free the following day.

“Next year we want to present a program of best Armenian plays. This year we are presenting a program of best foreign plays. For many years we have implemented a program of best Iranian plays,” said Festival Coordinator Shohakat Galstyan.

The international performing arts festival High Fest was organized in 2002. In 2004 the festival was hold with great success and included in the European theatre network, the European centre for art management, European League of institutes of the arts and other international organizations.
