The multicolored sound palette of national musical instruments and folk songs, performed at the hall of the Armenian Music Society, filled the air of hot summer days in Yerevan.

On the initiative of the Foundation for the Support of Cultural Education, on June 2-5, a traditional annual exhibition of fine works by young artists was organized in the House-Museum of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan.

On that day an unusual excitement reigned in the Yerevan Music School named after Aleksey Hekimyan. Special guests - the sons of the famous composer, whose name carries the school, were awaited.

Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia, opened once again before its young guests the doors of the Chamber Music House after Komitas.
Teenage representatives of the “New names of Armenia” project came back from the US, where they participated at the series of concerts. Representatives of the Armenian Diaspora and United States other citizens, the members of the US Congress, the World Bank, the Embassy of Armenia, the Armenian Cultural Society, the Educational Center of the Armenian Church of Washington – stood up in every hall and applauded to the young musicians from both Armenia and Russia.

The 13th International competition after Aram Khachaturyan started as usual on the birthday of the great composer. This year the competition, which already deserved the right to be named as “traditional”, for the first time opened its doors in front a new specialty and has provided with a competitive platform to the young vocalists.
The 7th International Festival of Young Musicians-performers ''New names'' took place in Yerevan on June 2-5, 2017.

The 12th Youth Delphic Games of the CIS member states took place in Yekaterinburg from April 18 to 23, 2017. The Armenian delegation participated with 29 students involved in 11 nominations and thus won 7 gold, 5 sliver and 4 bronze medals.

A new unique gallery was opened in Yerevan. It is a doll gallery, situated in an ancient building built in 1914 at Abovyan street 1/1 where back in 1921 lived the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan.

A ceremony of donating musical instruments to the students of music and art schools took place in the Large hall of Yerevan’s Secondary Special Music School after P. Tchaikovsky on March 9th this year.

Armenian folk music has long history; as folk performing arts are famous for their rich traditions. The folk music songs, dances, folk instruments are very much beloved in Armenia.
“A forge of musicians…” – this os how great Aram Khachaturian called the Yerevan music school after Peter Tchaikovsky. The Tchaikovksy school opened again its doors before tutors and their students, however this time they were surprised by the newly renovated and newly equipped building.
The fine art education all over the world is given an important role. This is evidenced by the 36 session of the General Assembly of UNESCO. Since 2012 the fourth week of each May was proclaimed “International Week of Fine Art Education”.
From 10 to 30 of May of the current year, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia VII International Contest-Festival of Music performers “Revival” took place under the motto “Art Against War and Terrorism”. This year the Festival was dedicated to the 25th Anniversary of Armenia's Independence.
Due to tradition, on the New Year’s eve, upon invitation of the Fund for Cultural Education Support in the Chamber Music Hall after Komitas have gathered famous art figures of Armenia.
From 9-th to 15-th November the musicians of “New Names” project of Armenia and Russia performed a series of classical concerts. For the first time to Armenian and Russian talented children aged under 18 years have been joined by their Maltese age mates. Now this wonderful island, located on the crossroads of Europe, Asia and Africa has its own “New Names”.

This was the motto of the 7th International Festival of Animated Film and Comic Art "ReAnimania", which was held in Yerevan. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the National Film Centre and the Union of Cinematographers of Armenia. In 2009, the first year of opening, the festival absorbed more than 400 films from 35 countries into it’s “Piggy Bank”.
Music lovers are looking forward to the 6th of June - the birthday of the great classic of music of the 20th century-Aram Khachaturian, when the whole city has already breath in gin an atmosphere of "Khachaturian tone" since morning.
On June 4th, upon the initiative of the "Fund for Cultural Education Support ", in the House- Museum of Hovhannes Tumanyan the exhibition for reporting 2014 and 2015 has been opened.
