The Second Republican Festival of Integrative Youth Art was kicked off on November 17, in the Chamber Music Hall after Komitas. The Festival was organized by the Ministry of Culture of Armenia in association with the Foundation for Cultural Education Support and “Children's Special Creative Center”.

 

The festive atmosphere was designed starting from the lobby - the exposition of works by young artists and ceramists welcomed the audience. Bright colors and unexpected solutions, inspired by youthful environment, a nice melody coming from the stage - all these signs worked together to prepare the solemn opening of the Festival.

Deputy Minister of Culture Artur Poghosyan, who attended the opening ceremony, said in his welcoming speech: "Integrative festival of youth art pretends to be an excellent platform for creativity of children and youth with disabilities and their integration into society through cultural education which will identify the most capable and talented. The conceptual feature of the festival - the unification of these children through joint creative programs".

Mr. Poghosyan introduced the work schedule of the Festival. It will be held in 8 nominations: "Musical Art", "Art", "Arts and Crafts", "Art of Photography", "Theatrical art", "Artistic Expression", "Literary Work", "Dance Art", and be attended by around 500 children, 41 educational institutions and organizations. The program includes concerts, dance and theater performances, exhibitions, round table, which will be held in music schools and concert halls and cultural institutions in the capital city of Yerevan, Vanadzor, Gavar, Gyumri, Dilijan. The festival will end on November 24th, a concert that will be held in the hall of the Yerevan music school after Alexander Spendiaryan.

General Manager and Artistic Director of the International Festival “Step Forward”, a member of the working group of the Commission on the integration and provision of life of children and women with disabilities of the Presidential Council, Advisor to the Governor of St. Petersburg Valery D.
